Filmotype Reef

Filmotype Reef

Designed by James Lambert
Published by Filmotype

With its swelling stems and brushy serifs, Filmotype Reef casually carries its message to the reader. Subtle and pronounced details, like its varied character width and squared-off counters, add to the overall springy flavor of this 50s display face. As with all Filmotype revivals, Reef is brought up to speed by its designer, James Lambert, who introduced present-day features such as OpenType automatic fractions and ordinals.

Filmotype Gem

Filmotype Gem

Designed by Mark Simonson
Published by Filmotype

Mark Simonson brings back to life the work of the original Filmotype studio letterers with Gem. The heaviest of the Filmotype ‘G’ series, Gem evokes a kind of hand-lettered Futura/Helvetica mix, with distinct character styles in its quick-turn S and step-up K. Gem’s character set comes prepared for period-appropriate display work, including mirrored open quotes and a complete set of automatic fractional figures, accessible through OpenType.

Kyrial Display Pro®

Designed by Olivier Gourvat
Published by Mostardesign Studio

Kyrial Display Pro® is a contemporary sans family with generous proportions. Its confident, open letter forms express strength and conceptual clarity. Subtly arched strokes in a number of capitals, curved outstrokes on the lowercase “a” and “u”, and the large x-height lend the typeface an elegant and friendly appearance. Alternate shapes for key characters increase its versatility, as does the wide range of weights, from a delicate Ultra Light to a sturdy Black. This feature-rich OpenType family offers a broad language support and all the typographic extras needed for professional typesetting in print and web design.

Capitolium 2 family update

In September we announced Capitolium 2’s News weight. We’re now glad to offer regular and bold weights suitable for finer media, and an ever-so-modestly-lighter light weight as well.
