Aisha Latin & Aisha ArabicDesigned by Titus Nemeth |
With Aisha, designer Titus Nemeth accentuates the playful aspects of brush lettering, tying together the distinctive writing systems of Arabic and Latin-based languages. Aisha is an upright script that works in both text and display, in four corresponding weights. |

Nassim Latin & Nassim ArabicDesigned by Titus Nemeth |
Nassim is a robust text face drawn for economy of width. Formal elements such as the rotation of the stroke’s fore edge — and the resultant ‘kinks’ that enliven the counters — act to marry Nassim’s Roman to its Arabic counterpart. Nassim is available in four weights. There is no italic. |

Letters From Sweden was formed by Fredrik Andersson and Göran Söderström. Fredrik is graphic designer at Pangea design and lecturer on the history and design of typography. His type designs include Berling Nova Sans & Serif (with Örjan Nordling), custom faces for Nu-institutet and Botkyrka konsthall, and an upcoming release for Fountain. Göran has been designing type since 2006, but his letter-shape doodling goes way back. He is self taught (hence the occasional Autodidakt moniker) and previously published his works through Psy/Ops, Fountain and FontFont. Employed at the type design department at Pangea design, he has developed custom type for ICA, LO, SEB and others. |

SiriDesigned by Göran Söderström |
The Nordic name Siri means beauty and strength. The typeface Siri wears this name perfectly. This elegant stressed sans has narrow letter forms with a generous x-height, making it an economic typeface that is still perfectly readable in small sizes. When used big the playfully curved spurs and ever-so-slightly flared stroke endings sing across the page. The versatile family comes in a wide range of eight weights, all with matching italics, useful OpenType features and four stylistic sets. |

ShabashDesigned by Göran Söderström |
Shabash is rooted in an identity design project for Kashmir, an Indian restaurant in Stockholm. Göran’s initial business meeting blossomed into a lifelong friendship and inspired him to travel to India. Shabash Pro is his tribute to the Near East, its people, and the explosion of colors and flavors. Shabash has squarish letter forms tempered by tapered stroke endings, for a flowing sense of movement. Curvy swashes on the alternate capitals add a whiff of whimsy. |

BookmaniaDesigned by Mark Simonson Bookmania is a revival of Bookman Oldstyle (1901), not the sandpapered ITC version but the charming original. Its over 680 swash characters and 35 optional discretionary ligatures turn setting headlines and word marks into an adventure of exploration and fun. But there’s plenty more to Bookmania than swashes; its five weights with matching italics make it a family of modern, full-featured OpenType fonts. |

SequenciaDesigned by Matthew Burvill Sequencia is a proportionally spaced text face drawn with a monospaced aesthetic. The face’s letterfit is loose, and a narrow A, W, or M occasionally stands in as a reminder of its roots. Sequencia also exists in monospace. |
||||||||||||
TrezaDesigned by Benjamin Gomez Treza started as a redrawing, more or less, of American Typewriter, then lightened up. The monolinear face still wears its charming ancestral quirks (bulbous head and foot serifs); flaunts the sleekness of a new generation (vertical serifs streamlined to ball terminals), and demonstrates youthful agility. |

PipoDesigned by Benoit Bodhuin It’s nice to see one like this, work that shows real dedication to a simple principle. Designer Benoît Bodhuin drew Pipo with the concept of transit in mind, “departure and arrival.”. The strokes of each of Pipo’s characters are carefully routed, hitting all the stops in a single pass. |

CapriDesigned by Felix Braden Based on basic forms like the square, the circle and the triangle, Capri was developed by drawing not writing. The geometric letter forms are decidedly contemporary, with the vintage charm of constructivist faces like Futura and ITC Avant Garde Gothic. This headline face has a classic elegance just right for fashion and beauty advertising. |
