Cheap Pine

Designed by Hannes von Döhren
Published by HVD Fonts

Hannes von Döhren’s Cheap Pine captures the knockabout rhythm of worn wood type. It comes with shadow included, and in two additional separates, for polychromatic setting.

Brandon Grotesque / Text

Designed by Hannes von Döhren
Published by HVD Fonts

Hannes von Döhren’s Brandon Grotesque plays to the stark yet warm and unsophisticated feel of early 20th century geometrics such as Erbar and Kabel. Its softened details and low x-height perform best at display sizes, while its more generously spaced and proportioned little brother, Brandon Text, handles the setting of lengthier bits of copy. Each optical size comes in six weights from Thin to Black, each with companion italic.

Pluto / Pluto Sans

Designed by Hannes von Döhren
Published by HVD Fonts

In eight weights, Pluto and the less eccentric yet no less friendly Pluto Sans set display lines with bouncing rhythm. Access stylistic alternates such as its closed-loop y via OpenType. A condensed width variant is available for both Pluto and
Pluto Sans.

Bulo Rounded

Designed by Jordi Embodas
Published by Tipografies

Jordi Embodas’ successful sans Bulo now has a rounded variant for giving the face a more casual presence. Bulo Rounded’s five weights correspond to the interior weights of its more extensively developed companion, Bulo.

Esmeralda Pro

Designed by Guillermo Vizzari
Published by Sudtipos

Drawn from the basic forms of Renaissance inscriptional lettering, Guillermo Vizzari’s Esmeralda presents itself with a specific air of playful uprightness, particularly visible in all-caps settings. Each letter has several alternate variations, differing in construction and interconnectedness, with an extensive range of alternates and ligatures. Through the end of June, get Esmeralda at 30% off.

Picking Scripts

Deciding on which font to use can be difficult, especially when you have thousands to choose from. For your save-the-date cards or wedding invitations, you’ll probably want a nice typeface with swashes. While this is easier said than done, your choice of script faces is actually affected by the program you’ll be using them in. Whether you’re using Adobe® Creative Suite® or Microsoft Office, check out our Buyer’s Guide to make sure you’re choosing a font that is compatible with your program.
