We live for type. The FontFeed is an inspirational journal of typography tips, recommended fonts, and bits of design from around the web that caught our typographic eye.
Hughes, Barnbrook, Spiekermann in London
FontShop and INDX proudly present One Friday, a design conference to be in held in London on 24th February, 2006.
Speakers include our own Erik Spiekermann, plus Jonathan Barnbrook, Geoff Nicol, Rian Hughes, and Morag Myerscough. The theme for the conference is “design and business”. Each speaker will talk about recent projects and offer some insight into how they deal with clients, the conflicts between creativity and budgeting, and the types of challenges faced by their studios.

In Use: FF DIN for The Onion

FF DIN in use at TheOnion.com and TheSans at AVClub.com.
If FontShop’s bathroom wall is any testament to our reading habits, The Onion is our news source of choice. The online edition of The Onion uses FF DIN for its navigation menu. It’s tough to inject some style into so few pixels while maintaining legibility, and FF DIN’s straight-sided construction performs well. It’s a shame they aren’t using it for the little green teaser heads as well.

In Use: Neo Sans for Intel

Oops, looks like whoever created the custom font for Intel forgot to kern the ‘Ye’ pair.
Intel has rebranded and is now using a font, “Neo Sans Intel”, which combines modified versions of Sebastian Lester’s Neo Sans and Neo Tech.
