FCImagehe term "Old English" is a common reference to a segment of the Blackletter type classification. The Blackletter classification includes a number of script styles, such as Fraktur, Textualis, and Cursiva.

Blackletter fonts are also sometimes referred to as Gothic scripts. The term Gothic has a more common application in modern typography, referring instead to the earliest style of sans serifs. You'll find a selection of those in our Gothic/Grotesque FontList.

One of the more common Blackletter scripts of the digital era is simply named Old English. Below you'll find a few variations of the Old English typeface, as well as a selection of some of our favorite Blackletter fonts.
