Staff Picks: July 2009

Each month the most typographically tinged folks on the FontShop staff pick the typefaces that we’ve seen put to fine use — and those undiscovered gems we wish were used more often. Here are our selections for July 2009.

Edenspiekermann used a custom typeface based on Agenda for their redesign of the Utrecht City Theater's identity. Read more about the typeface on The FontFeed.

Miller introduced Strathmore papers for use in small studios, sole proprietors, and corporate staff brand identities in VSA Partners designs for Mohawk.

Nick Shinn's revival of 19th century "modern" type and its sans counterpart has a completeness not found in the largely under-explored genre. Three optical sizes, old style figures, Cyrillic and Greek language support, and small caps are amongst the features in the Sans/Serif suite. (Modern Suite photo by six_7_8_9)
