Hannes Famira

Hannes Famira was born in northern Germany in 1966. He completed the mandatory one year training program at the Allgemeine Gewerbeschule in Basel in 1992 where he learned the fundamental principles of the fine arts. He then moved to The Hague to study graphic and typographic design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, he graduated in 1996. After internships at Studio Dumbar (The Hague, NL) and The Font Bureau (Boston) he joined Buro Petr van Blokland in Delft (NL). There he takes care of the corporate typefaces and logo fonts of several major Dutch banks and insurance companies. He also works hard to meet the strong demand for Euro symbols, takes on the challenge of database publishing, and probes the mysteries of the font software RoboFog.
