Markus Hanzer

Markus Hanzer was born in Vienna and studied at the Academy of Art in Vienna. After work and exhibitions as an artist he started as an independent graphic designer, photographer and illustrator. Since 1980 he worked as TV designer at the Austrian Television ORF, from 1987 to 1991 as chief designer of the private TV channel SAT.1 in Munich and from 1991 to 1995 as head of design at ORF again. Since 1995 he is creative director at DMC in Vienna, being responsible for design concepts for clients and projects like German TV stations, Deutsche Bank, Allianz Group and the Austrian pavillion at the World Expo in Hannover. In 2001 he opened his Internet typemuseum www.typemuseum.com.
