Nick Shinn

Nick Shinn was born in London in 1952 and has a Dip. AD (Fine Art) from Leeds Polytechnic (1974), he has lived in Toronto since 1976. Initially an ad agency art director, he started a digital design studio in 1988, and launched ShinnType in 1999. Since 1980, he has designed over 20 typefaces. He teaches part time at York University, Toronto, writes frequently for design magazines, and is a director of SOTA.
