Klavika, by Eric Olson of Process Type Foundry, was released in 2004. In the time since, Klavika has become one of the past decade's most popular typefaces. It has been a favorite of NBC and its sister stations in on-air promotions, and is in heavy use by ABC Sports/ESPN, Comcast Xfinity, General Motors, and a great number of other companies, large and small. Perhaps Klavika is most noticeable as the basis for the Facebook logo. The Klavika Gallery page has a number of these examples on display.

Process Type Foundry describes Klavika as an "unadorned, modern and infinitely flexible" typeface for the 21st century. While the Web 2.0 era introduced softer, rounded sans serifs as the norm, Klavika carries an air of edgy modernity. Its high x-height and open letterforms lend it excellent legibility at smaller sizes, and it has the distinctiveness to make for eye-catching headlines.
Klavika OT vs. Klavika Basic OT
Klavika is available in two OpenType versions: Klavika OT and Klavika Basic OT. Klavika OT contains a bevy of alternate glyphs and features, such as Small Caps, Oldstyle Figures, and a large selection of arrows. While Klavika Basic OT does not contain all of the above glyphs and features, it does still include the complete Western and Central European language character sets.
