Alphabet Soup
You are probably familiar with Michael Doret’s work without even knowing it. If you have seen his logo for the New York Knicks, or one of his many covers for Time Magazine, then you are familiar with the power and dynamism he has brought to the art of hand-drawn letterforms. Michael believes that having had this experience in the illustration, design and advertising arenas separates him from most other font designers. By creating and releasing fonts through Alphabet Soup Type Founders he is attempting to bring a very different perspective to the art of font design from that of most other foundries. Bringing his experience of making art with letterforms to bear on font design, he hopes to create a collection of fonts that share the same aesthetic, energy and unique qualities as the lettering and design work that he has become known for.
