PampaType
Alejandro Lo Celso (1970) is an information & type designer born in Córdoba, Argentina. He has acted as an art director at different graphic media, has taught design, typography and letter history at diverse schools in several countries, and has collaborated with diverse publications and projects around Latin America.
He holds a typeface design master from the University of Reading (UK), and a post-diplöme from the ANRT, Atelier National de Recherche Typographique, Nancy, France; and he has given talks and workshops in Argentina, Chili, France, Germany, and Mexico. In 2001 he founded PampaType, the first Argentinean type foundry. PampaType familes such as Rayuela, Borges, and Arlt have obtained international awards and have been published at several international books and journals. Alejandro currently teaches at the master of typographic design, Gestalt center of Veracruz, Mexico; is a guest professor at the school of fine arts of Toulouse, France; and works as an independent consultant.
