Porchez Typofonderie is an independent digital type foundry in France, designing, manufacturing and selling high quality typefaces for adventurous digital typographers.
The foundry, born unofficially around 1994, launched its first retail typefaces in 1995: Apolline, Angie Sans and Anisette. The objective of the foundry was to offer the typefaces designed
by Jean François Porchez in an exclusive way.
The foundry created the typeface for the newspaper Le Monde in 1994, followed by a number of custom typefaces for the Baltimore Sun, Beyoncé Knowles, Costa Crocieres, France Télécom, Peugeot, RATP (Public Transport in Paris) and others. Ambroise, Angie, Apolline Le Monde and Parisine have won prizes in various international typefaces competitions.
