Présence Typo
Présence Typo is an independent digital type foundry nestled in the French Alps. Thierry Puyfoulhoux, Présence Typo’s founder and principal designer, studied calligraphy and typography at the Scriptorium de Toulouse and the Imprimerie Nationale in Paris under the direction of José Mendoza y Almeida . He then worked in corporate identity design at the renowned Parisian studio, Dragon Rouge.
Puyfoulhoux began a successful freelance career in 1991 and launched Présence Typo in 2000. The foundry’s motto is “small is more and less is beautiful (or something like that).” Puyfoulhoux’s goal is to provide a collection of high quality type designs and custom products to discerning clients worldwide.
