Christoph Dunst studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague, The Netherlands, where he graduated with a degree in graphic and typographic design and a masters in type design. In 2006 he founded his design practise Bureau Christoph Dunst, in 2012 he established the Atlas Font Foundry. In 2009, the Type Directors Club of New York awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Type Design to his now largely extended Novel font family. Novel was also nominated by the German Ministry of Economy and Technology for the Design Prize of Germany 2010.
