Eli was born in Oaxaca, Mexico. He studied Graphic Design and Type Design at Universidad Autónoma de San Luís Potosí and Centro de Estudios Avanzados en Diseño. Some of his type designs have been selected by the Biennial Tipos Latinos 2008 and 2010. His work has also been featured by Communication Arts Magazine.
