Graphic designer Coto Mendoza received her B.A. in Design and Innovation from Universidad Mayor, and graduated in Visual Communication from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. A co-founder of Mendoza & Vergara, she specialises in calligraphy, hand lettering and typography. Coto focuses on hand-made typefaces based on calligraphy, with a special interest in the use of different materials and tools. Coto is co-creator of the blog TypeMenu, a repository of trendy typefaces and interviews with prominent people from the field of typography. Coto has taught design at different universities and colleges for over 10 years.
