David Crow

David Crow was born in Galashiels, Scotland in 1962. He studied Graphic Design in Manchester in the early 1980s before moving to London where he lived and worked for eight years. He returned to the north of England, and to education, in the mid 1990s where he taught graphic design in Salford and Liverpool. Professor David Crow is currently Head of School of Design at Manchester Metropolitan University and his work is primarily concerned with semiotics, in particular the mechanical notation of visual language.

Ian Wright is an illustrator who lives and works in London. He is particularly well known for his portraits of musicians which have been used extensively in music packaging and editorial. Ian's work is primarily about responding to different materials and processes. He enjoys working with unexpected materials not readily associated with art and design. He is currently making large wall pieces for Milliken Carpet and Issey Miyake.

Ian was born in London and studied graphic design at the London College of Printing. In addition to his freelance practice Ian also teaches illustration at the University of Brighton.
