Joel Decker is Creative Director for the Web Design Studio Citypivot.com; based out of Berkeley, California. He received a B.F.A in Graphic Design from CalArts and an M.A. in Psychology from JFK University. He has been a Graphic Artist for fifteen years, with over ten of those years focused on the web. He has been Art Director for Microsoft, US/Web, Disney, and Publicis; crossing mediums between motion graphics, software interface, and online marketing. He created and taught the curriculum for the Interactivity and Screen Design course at Expression College for Digital Arts. He has received awards for his work from ‘Print Magazine’, ‘Typography Now’, ‘New Typographics’, and ‘Architectural Digest’. His psychology background infers in his work a consideration for customer impulse and demographics; engaging the sensibilities of a target audience.
