Luciano Vergara is a graphic designer who received his B.A. in Design from Universidad Mayor, and graduated in Typography from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 2003. Luciano works as a designer at Mendoza & Vergara Design Studio, which he co-founded with Guisela Mendoza. In 2005 he started licensing his type designs through the T-26 Digital Type Foundry. Luciano is founding partner of Latinotype and has been selling his fonts through this foundry since 2008. Besides having his work featured in Tipos Latinos 2004 and 2006, he was member of the jury in the 2008 edition of the Latin American typography biennial. His work appeared in several publications, including Carácter Latino and Yearbook of Type 1.
