Peter Bruhn

Peter Bruhn

Born in Malmö, Sweden in 1969, Peter Bruhn founded Fountain in 1993 and became an MFA&D graduate in 1997. Peter was possessed with type, and loved browsing through the second-hand book shops for old type books and specimens. More than a typeface designer and foundry owner, Peter’s many contributions to the world of typography happened behind the scenes. He was a mentor and a guide, bringing out the best in the designers he collaborated with or advised. This made him an influential and much-beloved figure in the type community. Peter unexpectedly passed away in his home in Malmö, Sweden on February 21, 2014.
