Sigurdur Armannsson
Sigurður Ármannsson ruined almost every schoolbook he had with letter drawings on the margins and every white space he found. After finishing the Arts and Crafts School in Iceland and Akademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam where he studied fine arts, graphics and painting, he drifted into design and system administration, not to mention teaching graphics software of all kinds at the Iceland Academy of the Arts. Activity in solving software problems related to the Icelandic special characters has intensified his interest in type and the techniques of making digital fonts. He shares his findings, along with tutorials for other graphics software, on his blog (http://font.is). Always experimenting with the letter forms sometimes ends in a finished font.
