Since 1985, Vincente Lamónaca has lived in Montevideo, Uruguay. He has a Degree in Graphic Design from the University ORT Uruguay.
Since 2000, he teaches in the area of publishing in the Faculty of Communication and Design at this university. Since 2005 he is also teaching Typography II, when it was established field in Montevideo.
Has served since 1993 as a graphic designer, primarily publishing. He is a partner of the design studio Taller de Comunicación, where in addition to designing has been involved in organizing conferences and exhibitions related to design and typography. He is Tipografia-Montevideos (link below) director, Uruguayan first site dedicated entirely to typography. He has published articles and participated on the topic typographical. Jury in Montevideo in the biennial typography Latin American Letras Latinas 2006 and Tipos Latinos 2008.
