Card Pro is a revival typeface inspired by the design of the Ella Cursief font from the Dutch type designer and artist Sjoerd Hendrik de Roos, better known as S.H. de Roos. The original type face Ella Cursief was released in 1916 by Lettergieterij Amsterdam where S.H. de Roos was type director from 1907 until 1941. The achievement of S.H. de Roos for the Dutch type design is highly remarkable. In 1912 he released the typeface Hollandsche Mediæval which was the first Dutch made typeface for 150 years, numerous type designs followed. Ralph M. Unger revived and digitally remastered the Ella Cursief type face. Ella Cursief , however, had only one style (Light), Ralph M. Unger also designed a Bold variant. Also the original type face design is almost a 100 years old, Card Pro feels fresh and modern and can be used perfectly for anything in the area of headlines, posters, invitations etc.
