FF Primary is a condensed running typeface with straight, simple forms which are based on the principles of writing with a broad nib pen. FF Primary Round uses almost the same shapes, but because of the way edges and connecting points change it appears in a very different, much smoother form.
FF Primary Stone is based on the font FF Primary Bold, but is split into four different styles: a left, right, top and a bottom part of each letter. If you use them together, on top of each other – for example, each with a different gray tone – you can obtain certain effects. You control from which side the light comes from, whether the letters have depth (like letters chiseled into stone). If, for example, you only need the left part of a character filled with a certain colour plus the rest filled with another tone to get a complete character shape the cut FF Primary Stone All in All makes the task a little easier. Take FF Primary Stone All in All and on top of it add FF Primary Stone Left – you will see that you only need these two parts to build complete letters.
Note: FF Primary Stone does not have exactly the same shapes as the font FF Primary Bold. Some character shapes had to be changed to work when they were split into four parts!
FF Primary supports 63 different languages such as Spanish, English, Portuguese, German and French in Latin scripts. (Please note that not all languages are available for all formats.)
