Linotype Ha Manga is part of the Take Type Library, which features the winners of Linotype's International Digital Type Design Contest from 1994 to 1997. This unusual font was designed by Alession Leonardi, who plays with the difference between content and impression. At first glance the font looks almost like a row of pictograms or Asiatic characters. The forms become Arabic letters when the characters are set together to form words. Ha Manga is a good font to use when the reader is supposed to contemplate not only the text but the form of what he or she sees.
