T26 Digital Type Foundry was established by Carlos and Sun Segura in 1994 to promote the development, promotion, and distribution of independent type design. Since then, T26 has become one of the largest independent source for new and innovative fonts offering a library of 8300 individual styles comprised of 2170 families.

With award winning promotional designs by its parent company Segura Inc., T26 has maintained its relevance with a dedication to the broader integration of typography with graphic design, fine art, and popular visual culture.

Carlos and Sun Segura had already been running the Segura Design firm in Chicago since early 1991, and Carlos had come from an 11-year career as Art Director, Creative Director and Designer at many of the top advertising agencies in the country including Fortis-Fortis, BBDO, Marsteller, Foote Cone & Belding, Young & Rubicam, Ketchum, andDDB Needham. By 1992, Carlos saw that there was an opportunity arising and started the planning stages for the development of a new venture to enhance the new typography portals that were to come. It was with this basic platform that furthered features, procedures, policies, methods and concepts that lead to the initial creation of the T26 Digital Type Foundry.
