Founded in 1994 by Jean François Porchez, Typofonderie is an independent digital type foundry in France, designing, manufacturing and distributing a selection of high quality typefaces for adventurous digital typographers. This is the first place in the world to buy our digital fonts. Based in Clamart (France) from the end of 2008, Typofonderie as foundry, is dedicated to the distribution of a selection of high quality typeface designs, when ZeCraft focus on the bespoke typefaces and lettering projects. Many of the Typofonderie typefaces have won prizes in international competitions.

Xavier Dupre was born in France in 1977. He studied graphic design in Paris as well as calligraphy and typography at the Scriptorium de Toulouse with Bernard Arin and Rodolphe Giuglardo. Since 1999 he has worked as a type designer in a packaging design agency. He has also collaborated with Ladislas Mandel (known for telephone directory typography) on Renaissance experimental writings. Jean François Porchez

After training as a graphic designer Jean François Porchez (born 1964) worked as a type director. By 1994, he had created the new typeface for Le Monde newspapers. Founder of Typofonderie, his expertise enables him to propose bespoke typefaces as well as distributing his fonts via his typofonderie.com website.
