Henrique Beier was born in Panambi, Brazil, in 1988. He studied Graphic Design at UniRitter in Porto Alegre. Still during his undergraduate education he designed Garibaldi, which was selected for the Tipos Latinos Biennial in 2014. That made him give up on a packaging design job to start Harbor Type and pursue his dream of designing fonts full-time. He now lives in Porto Alegre with his wife and cat.
