Adriane Text is a transitional typeface, designed to provide both personality and excellent legibility at small sizes. Originally designed in 2006 by Marconi Gomes Lima, it was later supplemented by additional work by Silas Dilworth.
The family contains style-linked Regular and Bold weights with matching Italics and small caps. Their Extended Latin character sets also include Central European diacritic marks. They also include a wide range of OpenType features such as Old style and lining figures with proportional and tabular spacing, plus an extensive set of ligarues, ornaments, dingbats and alternate ampersands in each weight.
Compared to the more “dignified” look of the Roman weights, the Italics have a more fluid, lyrical design, providing an elegant sense of contrast. The slope of the uppercase and lowercase glyphs are minimally different, creating a more distinctive overall look in body text.
