The names of the four typefaces in the “FF Alessio” package (FF Cavolfiore, FF Coltello, FF Forchetta, and FF Mulinex) are reminiscent of kitchen utensils and electric household appliances that don’t work, knives that are blunt, and overcooked cauliflower needing salt. These designs were made by the Berlin-based Italian designer Alessio Leonardi. They are the fruit of rich dreams, born from a life lacking sleep and food. Instead of dreams, Leonardi sometimes says “nightmares” when he looks at the results – but the real judgement is up to you.
