Italian designer Mauro Carichini created Linotype WaterFlag Regular after being inspired by the way distortion affects letters underwater. As a starting point, he created a strict, geometric alphabet. This was then distorted, by means of incorporating wavy forms into the design. This gives the letters a dynamic and moving feeling. The typeface is well suited for headlines. Linotype WaterFlag Regular is included in the Take Type 4 collection from Linotype GmbH.
