Sachsenwald was digitized for the first time for The Wolpe Collection. An updated and subtly modified version of Berthold Wolpe’s original 1930s blackletter design, it is softer and lighter than traditional gothic typefaces. Drawn by Toshi Omagari as part of The Wolpe Collection, the reimagined design benefits from regular and light weights. Sachsenwald creates distinctive headlines and is at home in the brand identities for music, movies, video games and more.
